Team Austal after completing the 60km Freeway Bike Hike for Asthma

Austal made a significant donation to the Asthma Foundation WA which will help to build healthier futures for the 225,000 children and adults in Western Australia with asthma.

Asthma is the #1 most common childhood chronic condition and the leading cause of children’s school absences and hospitalisation. Asthma is suffered by 10% of Australians and is responsible for nearly 400 deaths in Australia each year, over 50% of which could have been prevented.

Asthma Foundation WA helps people with asthma breathe easier and aims to ultimately free West Australians from the burden of asthma.

How donations can help:

  • $30 can provide an Asthma Emergency Kit to a School.
  • $75 can train a teacher in Emergency First Aid.
  • $150 can improve a Doctor’s knowledge of Asthma diagnosis & treatment.
